I've been involved in sport for as long as I can remember. I played camogie and gaelic football for most of my life, and camogie remains a huge part of who I am today. Performance has always been at the heart of how I train — pushing limits, building strength, and showing up every single day.

Along the way I've gone through different periods of body composition change — I know first-hand what it feels like to struggle and what it takes to come out the other side. Most recently I'm over two stone down and counting. That personal experience is what drives the empathy and understanding behind every programme I write.

I graduated from university with a First Class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering and a postgraduate qualification in Environmental Engineering. While I enjoyed working in the industry, I knew my real purpose was elsewhere — improving the health and lives of others. That engineering mindset now goes into every programme: structured, evidence-based, and built to deliver results.

I spent the guts of a year in a hands-on gym environment at Tribe Coaching Academy in Belfast, where I earned my Level 3 qualification in Personal Training. But the real education came from being on the floor — watching, coaching, and learning from the many people who went through the exact experience you're thinking of going through right now.

On top of that, I've been coaching camogie and gaelic sports teams for well over 10 years. That's a decade-plus of understanding how people move, how they respond to coaching, and how to get the best out of someone — whether they're on a pitch or in a gym.

Outside of coaching, I've spent hundreds of hours dedicating my time to learning more about body recomposition, nutrition, and fat loss. I'm constantly listening to the best in the industry — podcasts, research, and real-world case studies — so that the advice I give you is always current, always evidence-based, and always evolving.

One of my favourite things? The gym is the perfect place to learn. While I'm training, I'm listening — and those hours add up fast. Pop in your earphones and let the knowledge come to you while you work out. It's one of the easiest habits you can build, and you'd be amazed how much you pick up over time.
